Meet our Board

  • Anita Johnson

    PRESIDING MEMBER

I am honored to serve as the Presiding Member of the School Board here at Te Kura Whakatipu o Kawarau. My role is to lead our dedicated board in supporting the Tumuaki (Principal) and staff to ensure every student has the best possible environment to learn, grow, and thrive. I believe in transparent leadership and a 'community-first' approach to our school’s governance. Our school is the heart of the Hanley’s Farm and Jack’s Point community, and I am proud to play a part in steering its future.

  • Amanda Leith

Hi, my name is Amanda Leith. I am a mother to two children, one who is at the school and the other who has now left and is at Wakatipu High School. I have spent much of my life visiting Queenstown and moved here originally in 2004 and then again in 2015. I work as a Resource Management Consultant on various community and development projects in Queenstown and I have a particular professional interest in how a growing community can be a place for all. This interest also applies to my involvement on the Board as I believe that all tamariki should feel valued, safe and successful in their learning at school which aligns with the school's vision of Gather, Learn and Grow.
